FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
What are the axes on the interferometer graphs? What does "spectral resolution" mean? What kind of pulsed measurement is possible and what is the accuracy? What's the difference between good and bad illumination? Ltr-files - Why? How to generate an ltr-file? The Multichannel-Switcher shows the same picture on all channels What about the temperature stability of the wlm?
What is the TTL-synchronization-option for?
As the wavelength-meters are provided with a photodiode which detects a laserpulse and triggers the measurement, this
option is usually not necessary. But in some special cases, like you want to measure only every 10th pulse, or you have big
background-radiation, which fills up the array with noise, you need the TTL-synchronization-option which is done via TTL-cable.
This cable is included in the wlm delivery, if the external trigger is asked for.
To measure in pulsed mode with IR-wavelength-meters, this option is needed too, as IR-wavelength-meters are not equipped with
a photodiode yet. Why is the (re-)calibration of wlm that important? How to find the best parameters for the PID-controller?
